Today’s WooHoo! story features the husband of a dear friend of mine. Even though I know it is mostly ladies who read this, I know that we will make him feel welcome! Congratulations, Darrell, on losing 50 pounds! We are so happy for you, and so thankful that you have taken your time to share with us!

FtoH: Can you tell me a little bit about you? Darrell:I’m 48 years old. I’ve worked for an eyeglass lens manufacturer for almost 24 years.   FtoH: What was your starting weight? Darrell: My starting weight was 227 pounds

FtoH: What was your goal weight? Darrell: To get my BMI down to near more normal, my goal is to weigh about 160 pounds. I’m 5’7″

FtoH: What eating plan did you use (for example: Weight Watchers, Atkins, Self, etc)? Darrell: I signed up for Weight Watchers Online.

For our very first ever WooHoo! Wednesday, we are joined by a personal friend of mine. She has been my inspiration throughout the process of beginning my new, healthy, life. When I grow up I want to be just like her. Please welcome my girl, Josette!

FtoH: Can you tell us a little bit about you? Josette: I’m a 34 your old SAHM to four kids. I used to be in pretty good shape before I had my last three kids. A combination of quitting smoking and having babies back to back to back and not losing any weight in between caused me to gain around 100 pounds.  My first attempt at losing weight took place in 2009. From Fat to Healthy

Welcome to From FAT To Healthy!  I want to use this first post to introduce myself a bit and fill you in on what you can expect from me.

My name is Amanda. I’m a wife of 8 years and a mom to three beautiful kiddos; ages 7, 4, and 2. The Husband is a business man while I stay home with the kids (and try to keep my sanity). My oldest, Book Girl, is in 2nd grade at a charter school. My middle child, Zip Girl, is in preschool. And the baby is my son, Busy Boy.

After my kids were born (all by c-section) I never really did anything to “get my body back”. I just let nature take its course. On its own, my body has come to within 10 pounds of my pre-pregnancy weight. I’ve never counted a calorie, and
