FtoH: Can you tell me a little bit about yourself? Jodymarie: My name is Jodymarie. I am a stay at home mother to 2 wonderful blessings. Izick who is 5 years old, and Gavin who is 3 years old. I have been married to my husband Shawn for going on 7 years. I started my weight loss journey on September 10, 2007. I was once only a walker who is now a runner. For Fitness Friday today I want to share something that I found recently that I am completely in love with. Here’s the story.

I was doing the 30 Day Shred with Jillian and loving it. Then I pushed a bit too hard, and my shoulders got so sore I couldn’t lift my arms. So the Shred was out and I needed something else. Enter: Couch to 5k. Running. I forgot how much I love to run! I  did week 1 day 1, then went back to the Shred. I spent a week alternating back and forth, three days Shred and three days C25K, one rest day.  Then my knee started hurting.

30 Day Shred by Jillian Michaels

Last week I was a couch potato. I spent maybe 10 minutes a day total “working out”, meaning running after kids, going up the stairs to the second floor of my home, etc. Not really a workout, but at least a smidge of movement.

Then the snow melted. I spent 1/2 hour raking the leaves up from my front lawn. Let me tell you, I thought I was going to die. Now, I’m 5’4″ and 135 pounds. A bit overweight, but not enough that I ever worried about it. I thought I was fine. I was healthy enough. WRONG! There is nothing, anywhere, that says you should feel almost dead from raking leaves for 30 minutes! I am so out of shape it is pathetic!

For our very first ever WooHoo! Wednesday, we are joined by a personal friend of mine. She has been my inspiration throughout the process of beginning my new, healthy, life. When I grow up I want to be just like her. Please welcome my girl, Josette!

FtoH: Can you tell us a little bit about you? Josette: I’m a 34 your old SAHM to four kids. I used to be in pretty good shape before I had my last three kids.
