Hydration. Fluid. Water.

Hydration through fluid (more specifically water) is SO important to your health!!!

What do you do to ensure that you drink enough water, and just how much a day do you drink? Right now I’m drinking around 42-48 oz a day. I’m pretty sure that is about 20 oz less than what I need, right? This is an area that, oddly, I am really struggling in. I love water, so I don’t get it. I think I just get too busy and don’t realize that time is going by… So today, I’m asking for help!

Do you just carry a water with you all the time and drink it throughout the day? Or do you set a timer for once an hour and drink a certain amount as it goes off? Do you find that it is easier to get enough if you use a larger container over a smaller one (or vice versa)? I am looking for any ideas to help me get those last 20 oz! Have any good links talking about water/fluid/hydration?

I should mention that I drink 2 cups of coffee in the morning, and in the afternoon/evening I have 2-3 cups of green tea. I’m always drinking something, it’s just not always water. I really don’t want to cut out coffee (my love! which I am now adding coconut milk to for creamer, btw). And I know that green tea is good for you too (I brew my own. No processed, bottled tea for me!) so I don’t want to cut that out. And, most days I use my juicer, so I’m getting fluid there too.

So really, after I get it out there, I understand why I never feel thirsty. I am staying hydrated. It’s just not completely by water.

By the way, I know that this post is all over the place. I am exhausted today. And overwhelmed with my to do list. But the only way I am going to get un-overwhelmed is by checking stuff off, so it’s time to get to it. First up, make my coffee!   (note from The Husband: sorry! my fault this is up at 12:30 vs 7:30 )

Smile and have a great day!
